Hi, I’m Jared Brown, the founder of The Sermon Practice and creator of The Practice Devo, a daily devotional app used worldwide to deepen faith. For years, I’ve been passionate about equipping people to live out their faith beyond Sunday. It all started with a simple idea: How can we make spiritual growth more accessible in everyday life?

The Practice Devo began as a small project encouraging people with bite-sized, actionable devotions. Little did I know it would grow to reach users globally, proving that simple, intentional tools can create meaningful impact.

Why I Created The Sermon Practice

After seeing the success of The Practice Devo, I realized that local churches were facing a similar challenge: how to equip their congregations to engage with God’s Word throughout the week. Too often, pastors and staff are stretched thin, leaving little time to create resources for daily discipleship.

That’s why I created The Sermon Practice. My mission is to serve the local church by making discipleship easy, impactful, and scalable. Using the same principles that have resonated with believers worldwide, I help churches create tailored, sermon-based resources that transform weekly sermons into tools for daily growth.

My Heart for the Local Church

As someone who has worked closely with churches and seen the pressures that pastors face, I understand the struggle to do more with limited time and resources. However, I also deeply believe in the power of the local church to change lives and communities. 

My goal is simple: to take the burden off your plate so you can focus on your calling while equipping your congregation to grow spiritually in sustainable and impactful ways.
